Snow Much Fun Literacy Night

Deefield School #9 in Linden, New Jersey hosted a Family Literacy Night called, Snow Much Fun. Students from all grade levels gathered for differentiated literacy activities based on reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar,and writing skills. Students listened to multiple read alouds including The Mitten and The Snowy Day. Pre-K to Second graders worked on multi-sensory activities that matched key concepts of the stories read aloud. 3rd through 5th grade students worked on a plethora of narrative writing tasks and grammar skills that focused around the theme of Winter. A huge thank you goes out to the faculty and staff that worked to make an impact on the families lives on a Friday night!
